Merry Christmas

Aloha from Molokai and Merry Christmas, Mele Kalikimaka

One more year is almost gone. Of course we all have different goals and dreams for the following years, but unfortunately most of us, myself included, are waiting for this year to finish first. Although most of us know that there is really no reason at all to wait to start creating what we want.

When we think we have endless time we tend to relax and never take action. Instead, this year try asking yourself what message do you remember from lastyear? Ask this question, give yourself just 10 seconds to answer it, and choose only one thing. In doing so you will find the thing that is most important for you. Pick that one thing and try to change just that — one thing at a time.

One thing I remember from last year is that sometimes I don’t realize how lucky I am. So before I look outside to world and I ask what I want, I need to first look inside me, because most likely I already have it.

One quick tip for being aware of what you're eating this holiday season, and something I apply if I know I will eat LOTS of GOOD food, is I allow myself to eat what I want but I try to keep things simple. So I will choose at most three to four things that are on the menu, eat slowly, and enjoy. Between each course I take a little break, and if I want a second plate then first I'll drink some water and wait 10 minutes before I take my second plate. And most importantly, in-between the big meals I'm sure to not eat for at least 14-16 hours, to allow my to body digest properly. If you add in the hours that you're already sleeping then it's really not hard to give your body a 14 to 16 hour break, and when you follow a feast and fast cycle like this and you give your body a chance to feel hunger, you will enjoy your feasting time so much more.

Time is the most precious thing in our life, however, whatever you want to change you can change right now...

Inhale PEACE, Exhale LOVE
