Sometimes words have no meaning
We all have our own challenges in our life. Everyone who we see, maybe in person or maybe on social media, is undoubtedly going through something and we mostly have no idea about it. We think we have lots of time in our life but in reality none of us knows what is going to happen, and things can change so quickly and unexpectedly. The recent tragedies have showed and reminded us how precious and fragile our lives are. At the same time it was so good to see how people are gathering together to help others, even from so far away. This is “Aloha”, love and compassion. Of course is it not only those who lost their lives that were affected, what happened will have a lasting impact on their families and friends and everything that they were involved in. Some wise teachings say that everything has a reason but in a situation like this it is very hard to see one.
Seeing thousands of people going through this terrible situation hopefully teaches us and reminds us how important it that we are all living the same life in unity. Maybe we don't feel other's pain but we can have compassion, and even if we're not able to do anything to help at the moment we can still send them beautiful Aloha energy and remind ourselves that we are all in one unity.
It is so sad too of course to see those who survived the tragedy on Maui but lost everything that they had. Of course they lost only their material belongings — and I said only not because it is not important, of course it, but because it reminds me and hopefully you of how much we are attached to our materials, even though they don't have so much meaning for our lives.
This is such a difficult subject to talk about, and as I wrote this article I realized that words sometimes just can not express what we want to share. We just need to be aware that unfortunately, knowingly or unknowingly, so many people have so many difficulties and struggles in their life. No matter what we may be going through in our own life it is important to remind ourself of that. We can try to truly appreciate how important and precious each moment is. Saying to live in the moment is easy, and in some sense a bit of a cliche, but it is true that our life is different every day. For most of our days, whether the day brings us joy, happiness, sadness or anger is really up to us as to which feeling we want to choose. Of course, some things happen that we have no control over, and we do not know what is coming, but if we live life as full as we can then we shouldn't need to say “I wish I had…“ at the end of it.
I always promote taking care of ourselves with healthy eating, exercise and a lifestyle that gives us a healthy mind and body. Especially after seeing what is going on around us it is very much important that our health is a priority.
