ACN Annual Conference 2018, and a free docu series
I LOVE learning, especially when it’s about nutrition and fitness! Next week I will be attending the American College of Nutrition (ACN) Annual Conference in Seattle.
It’s the 3rd year that I’ll be attending, and I’m super excited to learn about all of the latest research that’s coming out. I will have a chance to meet my mentors and teachers too.
Every year, the ACN Conference has a different theme. In 2016 it was The Science of Personalized Nutrition, last year was Disrupting Cancer: The Role of Personalized Nutrition, and this year’s theme is Translate the Science of NutriGenomics into Practice.
NutriGenomics is revolutionizing the discipline of nutrition. Genomics is an area within genetics that concerns the sequencing and analysis of an organism’s genome, and nutrigenomics focuses on the relationship between human genes and nutrition, or science of the role of nutrients in gene expression. This field is growing very rapidly.
I’m looking forward to sharing some of the knowledge that I’ll learn there with you in some of my next newsletters!
This week I’d also like to share another totally free documentary series, this time it’s about diabetes and obesity. Please share with your friends too! It’s starting on November 13th, you can register to watch at https://go.ithriveseries.com/sayer-ji. I hope it helps and gives you some useful information.
Have an awesome week!
